MOLECULUX - Luminescent Bodies in Hyperspace
2002 Sculpture Square
fabricated acrylic panels, cable-ties, water-proof light cables, timer dimensions
variable, form mutable, scalable, portable, deconstructed into units
LUMINESCENT BODIES IN HYPERSPACE
MOLECULUX is one large installation that involves two interplayed series: LUMINESCENT BODIES IN HYPERSPACE and AUTOFLUROMOLECULUX. I have designed and installed a colored light-driven suspended and ground-based multi-sculptural installation that explores the aesthetics of molecular form and sensuous light interplay, thereby introducing the world of molecules to the audience. Composed of units, the sculptural installation is modular, scalable, variable, mutable, portable, reversible, and of increasing complexity, color and luminescence, depending on fabrication customisation.
AUTOFLUOROMOLECULUX
The form of molecules have been depicted by conceptual graphic drawings and computer-simulated 3-dimensional modeling and are based on the constituent elements and the forces that hold the molecular structure together.
Moleculux is the artistic interpretation of the forms and spaces of molecules zoom up to large scale.
Moleculux is flexible in its presentation during the day or night.
